Hymax Field Hockey Club is built on the strength of its coaching staff. Our coaches bring a wealth of collegiate, club, and competitive experience, along with a shared commitment to developing every athlete. Through dedicated instruction, mentorship, and a passion for the game, they create an environment where players grow in skill, confidence, and understanding—both on and off the field.
Michelle Webber
Club Director | U14–U19 Head Coach
Michelle Webber founded Hymax Field Hockey Club in 2004 with a vision to share her knowledge and passion for the game while creating opportunities for athletes in the Baltimore area. At the time, Hymax was the only club-level field hockey program serving both high school and younger players in the region.
Coach Webber began her collegiate coaching career at Hood College, where she led the team to its first conference championship and was named Atlantic Women’s College Conference Coach of the Year. She later joined the University of Richmond, helping the team secure an Atlantic-10 Championship and its first NCAA Tournament appearance.
She continued her career at Towson University, serving as both an assistant and a head coach, leading the program for 5 seasons.
As a player, Coach Webber was a standout at Goucher College, earning All-Conference, All-Region, and Academic honors.
As a member of the Jamaican National Team from 1992-1996, she participated in the Junior Pan American Games (Venezuela), the Pan American Games (Argentina), and the World Cup Preliminary Qualifier (Trinidad and Tobago). She also represented the USA in the Masters Field Hockey World Cup in Spain.
She holds a B.A. from Goucher College and a Master’s degree from McDaniel College. Coach Webber remains deeply committed to developing athletes both on and off the field.
Megan Callahan
U14–U19 Coach
Megan Callahan joined Hymax in 2019 and brings an exceptional collegiate coaching background. She currently serves as Head Coach at Goucher College and previously spent 20 years as Head Coach at Johns Hopkins University.
At Johns Hopkins, she became the winningest coach in program history, compiling over 220 career wins, five NCAA Tournament appearances, and three conference championships. She coached numerous All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American athletes during her tenure.
Callahan later served as Director of Athletics and Head Coach at St. Timothy’s School before returning to the collegiate level.
A former player at the University of Maryland, she was part of a National Championship team and a national finalist squad. She also competes internationally with the USA Masters Team.
Coach Callahan is passionate about developing athletes and preparing them for success at the collegiate level.
Arla Davis
U12–U16 Coach
Arla Davis is a dedicated field hockey coach and sports professional with a passion for athlete development, leadership, and storytelling in athletics. Coach Davis is currently the assistant field hockey coach at Goucher College after serving as an Assistant Field Hockey Coach at McDaniel College, where she helps lead a Division III program by designing practice sessions, mentoring goalkeepers, building team culture, and overseeing strength and conditioning.
A former NCAA Division III student-athlete at Ithaca College, Davis was a four-year member of the varsity field hockey program, earning multiple Liberty League All-Academic honors. She also competed in track and field, excelling in shot put and javelin.
Davis is USA Field Hockey and NFHCA certified, SafeSport trained, and a graduate of the prestigious WeCoach NCAA Women Coaches’ Academy (Class #54). She holds a BS in Sports Media with a minor in Journalism from Ithaca College.
Stacie Gado
U10–U12 Coach
Stacie began coaching Junior Varsity at Wilde Lake High School for 6 years. She then served as an assistant coach at Goucher College for two years before becoming the first Varsity field hockey coach at Marriotts Ridge High School. During her 14-year coaching career at Marrotts Ridge, she is credited with County titles in 2014, 2015, and 2017, a regional title in 2015, a state finalist in 2015, and a state Championship title in 2019. She has coached with Freedom Recreation Field Hockey since 2018 and Hymax since 2020.
Coach Gado attended Salisbury University from, where she was a four-time letter winner in field hockey and a three-time letter winner in track and field. She was a three-time Track and Field All-American, a National Runner-up in javelin, and a first-team All-CAC in 1995 and 1996. Coach Gado was a third-team all-American in field hockey in 1995 and was inducted into the Salisbury University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015.
Christine Leazer
U10–U16 Coach
Christine “Coach Chris” Leazer is a lifelong field hockey player and dedicated coach with a passion for developing young athletes.
A standout high school player, she was a four-year varsity starter, three-year captain, and helped lead her team to multiple state championships while earning All-County and All-State honors.
She continued her career at McDaniel College before stepping away from the game to raise her family. In recent years, she has returned to coaching and now works with both Hymax and recreational programs.
Coach Chris is also committed to growing the game, founding a clinic for the Boys & Girls Club to introduce field hockey to new players.
She continues to compete in adult leagues and remains deeply connected to the sport.
Mary Waxter
U14 Coach
Mary Waxter is an accomplished former collegiate athlete and experienced coach. She graduated from Washington & Lee University, where she was a standout in both field hockey and lacrosse and served as captain of both teams.
In field hockey, she earned All-American honors, was named conference Offensive Player of the Year, and set school records for scoring.
Following graduation, she coached at Amherst College, helping teams achieve conference championships and NCAA tournament success.
She currently serves as Director of College Counseling and Head Field Hockey Coach at St. Timothy’s School.
Jessica Krewson
U12–U14 Coach
Jessica Krewson has coached across multiple levels, from recreational leagues to high school programs. Field hockey has always been her passion, beginning in middle school and continuing through high school where she was a standout player.
She went on to play at Towson University and brings that experience into her coaching. Coach Krewson joined Hymax in 2025 and is dedicated to helping athletes develop their skills and love for the game.
Hannah McKeon
Skill Development Coach (U10–U14)
Hannah McKeon played collegiate field hockey at Towson University from 2019 to 2023. She holds a degree in Exercise Science and continues to stay involved in the sport through coaching and officiating.
She was named an alternate for the USA Indoor National Team and currently competes with DC Dragons.
Coach McKeon brings a strong focus on skill development and fundamentals while helping athletes grow in confidence and understanding of the game.
Izzy Rothwell
U10–U12 Coach
Izzy Rothwell is a current Division I athlete at the University of Delaware and a former Hymax player, having spent seven years in the program.
She played varsity field hockey at Bryn Mawr School, where she served as team captain and demonstrated strong leadership.
Coach Rothwell brings a competitive mindset, discipline, and passion for the game, helping young athletes develop both skills and confidence.
Savanna Henderson
U12–U14 Coach
Savanna Henderson played for Hymax for eight years before continuing her career at the University of Massachusetts, competing at the Division I level.
She was a standout high school player, earning All-State honors and Player of the Year recognition.
Coach Henderson brings high-level experience and a strong commitment to developing athletes.
Ana Godat
Goalkeeper Coach
Ana Godat is a former Hymax athlete who continued her career at Washington & Jefferson College, where she became a standout collegiate goalkeeper.
She was a multi-year starter, earned All-Conference honors, and finished her career with over 250 saves and an impressive save percentage.
Following graduation, she coached at Goucher College before returning to Hymax.
Coach Godat is passionate about developing goalkeepers and giving back to the program that shaped her career.
Kristi Merashoff
Goalkeeper Coach
Kristi Merashoff is a former Division I goalkeeper who competed at both Northeastern University and the University of Delaware.
A three-year starter, she earned multiple conference honors and academic awards, including NFHCA Scholar recognition.
Coach Merashoff has experience coaching camps and clinics and is dedicated to helping goalkeepers develop at a high level.
