Hymax Field Hockey Club has one of the most diverse and talented staffs of coaches in the area. Each of our Maryland field hockey teams is coached by a knowledgeable and professional leader. All of our coaches have playing experience either at the collegiate or international level.
The staff possess a passion for the game as well as the desire to pass on the love for field hockey through imparting years of knowledge, technical skill and strategy to our youth field hockey players.
MICHELLE WEBBER, CLUB DIRECTOR AND HEAD COACH (U14/U16/U19 TEAMS)
In 2004, Coach Webber established Hymax Field Hockey Club with the goal of passing on her knowledge and love for the game. At that time, Hymax was the only Baltimore-based club-level program for high school and younger players. Former Head Coach at Towson University, Coach Webber began coaching college-level field hockey shortly after graduating from Goucher College in 1999, when she was hired as Head Coach at Hood College (Frederick, MD).
In her first season at Hood, she led the team to their first conference championship and was named Atlantic Women's College Conference (AWCC) Coach of the Year. In addition, she also served as head lacrosse coach and Recruitment Coordinator of Athletics at Hood College.
In 2002, and after three seasons at Hood College, she joined the University of Richmond field hockey program. In her year at Richmond, she helped the Spiders compile a 17-7 record. As the assistant coach, she helped the Spiders win the 2002 Atlantic-10 Conference championship which allowed the University of Richmond to attend the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. Their season ended with a 5-1 loss to then number-one-ranked Old Dominion. After one year as the assistant coach at Richmond, she joined Towson University staff. Coach Webber spent four years as assistant coach, and eventually took over the program and spent five years as head coach of the Towson University Tigers.
Coach Webber was a three-year letter winner in field hockey at nearby Goucher College and was named co-captain in 1999. She received the team MVP award in 1997 and 1998. Coach Webber was honored as an All-South Region Second Team member, selected first-team All-Conference and named to the All-Conference Academic team.
As a member of the Jamaican National Team from 1992-1996, she participated in the Junior Pan American Games (Venezuela), the Pan American Games (Argentina), and the World Cup Preliminary Qualifier (Trinidad and Tobago).
Recently, in 2018, Coach Webber represented the USA in the Masters Field Hockey World Cup in Spain.
Coach Webber received a B.A. in International Relations from Goucher College in 1999 and a Master's in Exercise Science and Physical Education from McDaniel College in 2005.

ASDEEP "ARSH" SINGH: COACH FOR U19-U10 TEAMS
Coach Arsh joined Hymax Field Hockey Club in 2017. Currently, he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in IT at Towson University. According to Arsh, “Field Hockey is not a sport to me, it’s my passion."
Before joining Hymax , Arsh played for the Delhi National team in India in 2011. His career was instrumental and influential in promoting his ability to become a better player and person. Playing in the Delhi National team in India was critical, as he was able to interact with the diverse players who had experiences in different national hockey clubs. Arsh has a total playing experience of 16 years. Within the 16 years, he was able to play for the different teams and clubs that shaped his experience and understanding of the hockey game. Arsh has had significant achievements to mark his career in hockey.
In 2011, he won a bronze medal with Delhi National team. Arsh was also named team captain in high school, during which time his team went undefeated, taking home gold at the interstate championship. He currently plays with DC Dragons field hockey club, Baltimore Field Hockey Association and East Coast High Performance. In 2018, he worked as an assistant varsity coach at Lansdowne High School in Baltimore, MD.
